  Lola Los, supposedly an ideal place to relax casually in a Polynesian setting. Alas, this is not the case. Upon arriving with my compatriots to the club, the first problem we faced was that the staff had suddenly decided to enforce a rather strict dress code. Seemingly, if one wishes to chill out in a tropical setting, they need to be wearing formal attire. Secondly, although the website clearly stated that on Friday nights U18s are perfectly welcome, the club changed their mind for this evening. I had made it but two paces into the club when I was suddenly informed I had to leave as it had been decided the night was now for U21s only. Upon inquiring about this decision, a rather large man stated that he was the owner and that "at the end of the day" he decided the rules and could do what he likes. To my comrades who did make it into the venue, they reported that there were no more than 15 people inside, which raises questions as to why it would suddenly be decided that only over 21s would be allowed in. The response from the owner was outright disgusting, not even apologizing for his sudden change in the rules, and it is certainly not appropriate for a supposedly relaxed venue. I would not advise anyone under 21 to post their review just in case our manager friend suddenly decides to change the rules on a whim.

  Absolute awful experience there. Expecting a fun friday night out and instead the night was complete ruined for seemingly no reason whatsoever. First off, a friend of mine was turned away for having shoes (converse) that were apparently too 'sporty' - a surprising revalation for a club themed around a clearly very smart Hawaiian tiki setting! - while others were being allowed in with effectively flip flops. Seemed completely random on selection. To make matters worse, out of nowhere, the manager appeared and suddenly declared that the club, which has always allowed 18+ on fridays, would be over 21s for the rest of the night. After asking as to why this sudden change of heart occurred, I was informed it was simply just the manager's orders . So not only was this bizarre dress code, that only applied to shoes, not declared anywhere on the website, but neither was it mentioned anywhere at all that the club would be only 21+ for the evening (the reason for which being that it was a decision taken completely on the spot by the looks of it!). Terrible evening all around.
