  Avarage. Reasonable beer. Probably the worst hunter's chicken I've ever had - but I've had passable​ food here, too. Nice garden to sit out in during the summer.

  Extremely disappointing meal. The food was mediocre at best. Salmon steak with seasonal vegetables came as Salmon steak with mange tout peas, garden peas and broad beans. It looked like they had run out of all other veg. Even the member of staff agreed it looked pitiful. The desserts took so long to come we were just about to give up and leave when they turned up with another weak apology. The ice cream accompaniment practically already melted to liquid, whilst the summer fruit sponge was frozen solid. The selection of ice creams chosen wasn't provide and an alternative random selection given. Shocking food, shocking service. So bad, I couldn't even bring myself to make the effort to point out the problems. It wasn't worth wasting the time. They didn't care.

  It's a fair pub-like place, with a decent family garden behind. Unfortunately, the service is far from being prompt, and the portions are somewhat small (the soup was tiny!). Oh, and we're still waiting for the ice cream I've ordered quarter hour ago. The staff hasn't even bother to remove the dirty plates. Hence disliked. Could be much better with just a little effort — the food itself is okay for a pub.
